Jack Harper – the main character of the game, 36 years old; before the apocalypse, he was a U.S. Army officer, serving as a military police officer, fulfilling his duties around the globe (before the events of the game, the world was already in a state of collapse: a permanent military conflict in which the U.S. was actively involved, overpopulation, resource shortages, and other well-known hardships).

He possesses a sharp mind, strong physical abilities, a high level of combat readiness, and survival skills. Jack has deductive abilities (an intuitive sense of things). He constantly reflects on the events around him. His “bad habit” is that he talks to himself all the time (which is useful for quests).
Jack is handsome and charismatic, which makes him popular with women. He is moral and fair when possible.

After the "apocalypse," Jack lived at Arin Lake Side station, taking on the responsibilities of a scout (a mix of stalker, fighter, and reconnaissance officer).
